Bay Leaf Kebabs

You can also cook the kebabs on top of a grill. A charcoal fire adds extra flavor, but any ordinary grill will serve.

1 lb    veal, cubed
1   lemon, squeezed
1 cup    cherry tomatoes
1/2 cup    shallots, peeled
1 cup    red pepper, diced
1/2 cup    mushrooms, small white, washed
4   bay leaves, fresh
1/2 cup    parsley, finely chopped

1 Marinate the beef cubes in lemon juice. Set them in a glass container, pour the lemon juice over, cover with plastic film, and leave them in the fridge for two hours, preferably overnight.
2 Pin meat cubes in four skewers, alternating with pepper, cherry tomatoes, shallots, mushrooms, and bay leaves.
3 Season the kebabs with salt, pepper, and parsley.
4 Broil for 15 minutes, turning once.
5 Garnish with letucce salad and serve white rice on the side.

 Cooking Tips
In a hurry? Skip the marinating step and pour the lemon juice over the kabobs at step three. The result will be still good.
