Kyla at the stove, in her own words.

  • My favorite food is Mexican food. I really like chicken or shrimp fajitas.
  • I do the cooking at home. My husband can grill really well, but he does not cook anything else.
  • The dishes I cook the best are probably desserts. I love to make cookies. I also like to use different ingredients to create unusual desserts.
  • My favorite recipe at home is a Spicy Chicken and Spaghetti recipe I created. It has fresh bell peppers and mushrooms in it. It is very good and people are always asking me for the recipe. When I eat out I usually get some kind of grilled chicken or fajitas.
  • When we entertain friends, we usually grill out. We have grilled chicken, ribs, steaks, or smoked sausage. We also make fresh steamed vegetables. We get all are favorite fresh vegetables and put them in foil with Italian dressing. Then we put them on the top rack of the grill until the meat is done. We also slice potatoes with bacon bits and spices and wrap them in foil. We also cook them on the top rack. We serve salad and sometimes rolls. I usually make some special dessert to go with our meal.
