Fried Cabbage with Nutmeg

Description

Use green or white cabbage with this recipe.

  • 4 Tbs sunflower oil
  • 1 Tbs butter or margarine
  • 1 ½ lb white or 2 lb green cabbage, finely shredded
  • salt and pepper
  • ½ tsp grated nutmeg
Methods/steps
  1. Heat oil and butter in a large frying pan, add the cabbage and season to your taste.
  2. Cook over a moderate heat, stirring frequently, for 20-25 minutes or until the cabbage is tender.
  3. Transfer to a serving dish, sprinkle with nutmeg and serve.
